What's the future of my sperm?
At CryoChoice our primary goal is to assist our clients in starting or adding to their family. All samples are processed, prepared, cryopreserved, and stored with future fertility treatments in mind.
To get started, you and your partner will need to select the fertility group that best suits your family’s needs. Your physician will meet and share the various types of fertility treatments available and determine what method is best for you to conceive. Your fertility plan will be designed to fit your needs and goals; it will maximize your chances of having a successful pregnancy.
Next, you will need to contact us to start the release of your sperm to your fertility center. We will review your account and contact your physician to begin the release process. Your initial chart containing your sample results, infectious diseases results, and consent will be sent over for their review.
During this time, you will be sent a release form that will require your signature and that of a notary signature to verify that you are the one requesting your sperm samples being released.
CryoChoice will coordinate:
You will be notified when the samples are arriving to your fertility center. CryoChoice is proud to provide a secure option for preserving your future. For many patients, private sperm banking offers the opportunity to keep a precious resource tucked away as they move forward into the future.
How long can I store?
At CryoChoice, our clients choose to store their sperm at various ages and for different reasons. Typically, clients know within 10 years if they are ready to start their family; although, research has shown that clients can store their sperm for over 40 years.
Scientists believe that sperm cells can survive indefinitely once they are frozen, as long as the temperature remains stable. CryoChoice freezes sperm samples at a long-term storage temperature of -196 degrees Celsius.
At this extreme temperature, activity stops, and sperm goes into suspended state, preventing it from degrading or aging. Which means your sperm remains healthy and ready to use for as long as you need it, giving our clients much more control over family planning.
