AGING

Aging is one of the leading causes in

For men older than fifty, the chances of miscarriage during the early weeks of pregnancy is almost doubled, when using natural conception.

For men, aging causes slow, gradual changes in the reproductive system in a process called andropause; changes in testicular tissue, sperm production, and erectile function are common during this process as well.

The Vas deferens , the tube that carries the sperm out of the scrotal sac, becomes stiff and less elastic through a process called sclerosis. The testes continue to produce sperm, but the rate of sperm cell production gradually slows down, making the chances of infertility and low fertility more likely.

Studies examining the fertility status between men under thirty and men over fifty disclosed a distinct relationship between age and fertility, which suggests that increased male age is associated with an overall decline in semen volume, sperm motility, and sperm morphology.
